Your centaur/elf creature is coming along very well. I love the mohawk on the head, very well imitated sub-surface scattering effect through the ears, the scars/marks on the toes shows texture. The legs are much better. Great Work!
Couple of things I can suggest: I think the tilt of the head feels a little awkward, it's probably the trapezious muscle which is throwing me off (I could be wrong). I think it the trap's harsh angle on the back of the head that's causing it. Perhaps making it more subtle curve could fix it.
The axl he's hold can be enhanced If you were to 'fake in' metallic/chrome textures.
The fur on the his belly maybe needs another 10 mins worth of work. Try and imitate the fur the way Bobby Chu does it.
Overall, great job!
Hey man, drop by my blog and give me some feedback if you got some spare time. The way I see it, give each other feedback on each other's work is the only way to improve and progress. Good Luck!
This is really impressive, stuff you have here. I really like the expression you've given him; he looks like one tough guy. The lighting effect you have going on with the ear is also really cool.
Other than what Muz suggested, I noticed a couple things.
First of all, where are the guy's nipples!? Haha, he's gotta have nipples, man!
Also, his right hand throws me off a little. I feel that his index finger is a bit too big. Try shrinking it a tad and adjusting the position a bit so it really looks like the axe is resting on it.
Hahaha....... yeaaah nipples..... always forget those damn things. They are like the pinky toe of the upper body, i never remember that they exist, on a man at least.
Appreciate the kind words and the input.
That finger did bother me a little never did get why though.
Hey what happened? He looked so majestic and...sad, his expression was so beautiful and agonized. Why does it look like a drawing from warhammer or something now??? He's all like grrrrrr i am a centaur!
Well that's just my artistic side speaking...lol Otherwise, this is an amazing painting! I can't believe I know someone capable of drawing this. Really it looks very professional. My only complaint are the legs, that seem less detailed than everything else. But hey otherwise, great job! And I wish he could be majestic again...but oh well =)
Definitely a great job and I can't wait to see more!
I think i agree with you on the face, I am looking at both versions now and i will definitely be reverting to the old face.
When i changed the face i changed it because i thought the face i had painted was unclear but now that i have had some time away from this drawing i think the angry face doesn't work as well as what i had before.

I'll add ya on my list of contacts
Thanks for the input man, i will be going over it for a final pass in a few days and i will definitely keep your suggestions in mind.
As for the traps i am not really seeing it. Are you talking about the traps or the curve of the neck.
If its the neck i agree with ya on that, now that you pointed it out its bothering me a lot lol.
Appreciate the input.
KP!
