The last week or so has been full of ups and downs but that is life i guess. Anyway I started on the colours for this yesterday and so far its coming along at a reasonable pace.

I have always liked this type of house architecture, it seems very homely...... very comfortable.. i suppose thats how i feel because it reminds me a lot an Inn. Specifically i am reminded of the Inn or tavern in LoTR where Frodo and co. stay.

Like always comments are welcome for those who take a look.

Quick update, i am once again behind schedule but that's nothing out of the ordinary for me.

I think after much going back and forth on choices for mood and lighting i have finally settled on what i have now.

Hopefully........ ill be done tomorrow.

So here is what i am currently working on. My original intention was to have an environment design, and keep it clear of people, i then added the two guys on the far right of the painting, and that made it feel a little better, and than the ships came, and then the kid and the mom, and finally the lady in the red. I think i could have populated it a lot more but i was/am afraid of crowding it too much, so i ended up stopping at what i have now.

I am quite happy with the posing of everyone but the lady in the red dress. She has in my opinion ended up being far too stiff in comparison to the rest of the people.

I started the colours for the people today, and am hoping to get this piece in somewhat presentable form by the end of this week, a full week behind my original deadline.

So its been two months since i finished school and i think i should have spent that last semester of school working on a 2d portfolio, instead of the 3d modeling demo reel i ended up making, but i suppose it is a good thing that i did dabble in the maya.

Its good to know stuff right?

Since then i have slowly and i emphasize SLOWLY started working on a portfolio in hopes of landing a job i will hopefully enjoy. And that job is drawing stuff for stuff, honestly i don't even know what to call it, a video game artist? concept artist? environmental artist? So many labels for what i think is the same job.

To be honest i don't know if i have what it takes, but i have to at least take a stab at it.

So the above image is what I've been working on over the past week or so. I am not liking the overall flow of the legs so i will change those a bit. In addition i will be adding detail to the horse part of the body.

Hopefully i finish this thing in the next couple of days and that momentum takes me onto the next piece and the next and the next...... and hopefully to that elusive "job" i would like.

As always to anyone who views this critiques are needed now more than ever soooo help a brotha out.
